2023 General Reassessment Year

Our books are closed for the 2023 General Reassessment Year.

DuPage County's publication of all our 2023 assessment changes was in the Addison Suburban Life and Carol Stream Suburban Life newspapers; the date of this publication (and the date for the mailing of all notices of reassessment) was December 2, 2023.

The deadline to file an appeal of your 2023 Assessment with the DuPage County Board of Review was January 2, 2024.

Saying that, we are now working on the 2024 Assessments payable on the tax bill you will receive in 2025. We are planning on closing our books for the 2024 Assessment Year in mid-July. Some time after that, DuPage County will publish all 2024 Assessment changes and mail out Change of Assessment Notices. Only those 2024 Assessments that have changed for a reason OTHER THAN the Annual County Equalization Factor will be published and be mailed Change of Assessment Notices.

The County's date of publication of 2024 Assessment changes will commence the annual 30-day window for property owners to file Assessment Appeals with the DuPage County Board of Review. Remember that this means you are appealing the value placed on your property, not the tax amount.
